Qualifying Report - Hamilton takes pole
Lewis Hamilton took pole position for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, beating Adrian Sutil by two-tenths. Kimi Raikkonen was third for Ferrari but hoped to do better in the race as the Ferrari has long tended to be better in the races than in qualifying.

Practice 3 Report - The Sutil approach
Adrian Sutil set the pace again in Italy on Saturday morning ahead of Jenson Button's Brawn and Nick Heidfeld's BMW Sauber. Rubens Barrichello was fourth ahead of the McLarens or Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen.

Practice 2 Report - Sutil fastest, Fisichella slowest...
The old Force India team had an odd day at Monza with Adrian Sutil setting the fastest time of the Friday afternoon session by two-tenths of a second ahead of Romain Grosjean and Fernando Alonso.

FOTA condemns FIA leaks
The Formula One Teams Association (FOTA) has expressed concern at the leakage of information, which "may or may not be relevant to the FIA current enquiry into the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix".

Nelson Piquet's FIA statement revealed
The legal statement made to the FIA by Nelson Piquet Jr has been leaked to the F1SA website. It is not clear how this has happened but we believe that the World Council dossier has been sent out and the leak must come from one of the members.

More ugliness in F1
Stories are now emerging about the defence being planned by Renault F1 against the claims that the team conspired to fix the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix. The information, clearly from a leak, suggest that the team will blame Nelson Piquet for coming up with the idea.
McLaren takes the road car to new heights
McLaren has launched its MP4-12C sports car and says that it is aiming to "re-write the rules of sports car design through Formula 1-inspired engineering, revolutionary chassis architecture, and absolute focus on efficiency".
Williams and Force India rejoin FOTA
The FOTA Executive Committee, chaired by Luca di Montezemolo, met today in Monza and an agreement has been reached to allow Williams F1 and Force India back into the fold.
Formula One does OK in 2008
CVC Capital Partners has filed the 2008 accounts for its Delta 3 (UK) Ltd subsidiary, the parent company of the Formula One group. These reveal that the revenues of the sport rose by $120m (13% ) to $1.06bn in the course of last year.
