Ron Dennis has revealed that McLaren has two different gearboxes for the new MP4/18.

Mercedes-Benz motorsport boss Norbert Haug says that "everything is in perfect order" between engine designer Mario Illien and Mercedes-Benz. This conflicts with well-sourced rumors suggesting that Illien is looking for a way out of his contract in order to move to Renault.

The new windtunnel at Williams will be finished much quicker than many believe.

We hear from Italy that the authorities at Imola must decide in the next few days whether they wish to tear down the current pit facilities at the track or face losing the San Marino Grand Prix next year.

Mark McCormack, the man who built the International Management Group and one of the pioneers of sports marketing, has died at the age of 72. McCormack had been in a coma for the last few months following a heart attack.

Coloni Motorsport driver Ricardo Sperafico won the FIA International Formula 3000 race at the A1 Ring on Saturday, finishing 3.6 seconds ahead of championship leader Bjorn Wirdheim (Arden International).
